REIKI ATTUNEMENTS

An attunement is a sacred process, initiation and/or meditation performed by a spiritual master for a specific purpose.

Reiki is a very simple technique to learn and is not dependent on one having any prior experience with healing, meditation, or any other kind of therapy.

Anyone can become a Reiki Healer if they receive an attunement. You do not have to have a certain belief system, be spiritual, or have a religion, nor do you need to engage in elaborate studies of Reiki for it to work, but you will find yourself seeking more information on Reiki and sharing experiences and techniques with other healers after becoming one yourself. You will find your life altered for the best and usually will develop a higher level of consciousness and spirituality.

 The attunement allows access to the healing energy to be used for healing a person or situation. The Reiki attunements can only be performed by a Reiki Master. 

Attunements can be carried out using a number of different means. I personally prefer to give attunements through personal meetings, or if this is not practical, using distance techniques. The main consideration should be that you are happy with the method used as you are the one who has made the decision to become a healer. During the attunements symbols are placed in the crown, heart, solar plexus and palm chakras. The process will clear the chakras and open the way for you to be connected to the source of the Reiki energy.

Each person has different feelings or experiences both during and after the attunements. What you feel will be unique to you. There is no right or wrong experience as everyone has their own individual needs.

The attunements might bring on feelings of heat or a tingling sensation. You might see colours, visions, symbols or experience smells. An attunement can be very relaxing, or you might feel as if you have more energy. It could also be that you do not "feel" anything. This is perfectly alright as the energy will still be working.

The important thing to bear in mind, is that whatever you feel or experience it will be right for you. As I have already said, each attunement experience is unique and personal to you and your circumstances.
